Addl SP flags off awareness rally on Jwala programme
The urban police took out a rally to create awareness on Jwala programme with girl students in the city on Saturday
Guntur: The urban police took out a rally to create awareness on Jwala programme with girl students in the city on Saturday.
The Jwala programme was aimed to solve the problems being faced by the women and to give protection to women who face danger to their life.
Additional SP Y T Naidu flagged off the rally at the district police office. As many as 150 girl students of various colleges took part in the rally from DPO to MTB Centre in the city.
Speaking on the occasion, Naidu called upon the women to avail the facility provided by the police. He urged the college girls and women facing problems can approach them to solve their problems and added that in case of need, they will conduct counselling.
He said that women facing problems may send whatsApp to 8333981178 or post their problems in urban SP Facebook.
Nagarampalem Circle Inspector Sridhar Reddy and Jwala woman constable Swati were present.
