Visakhapatnam: The Board of Intermediate Education of Andhra Pradesh released the Intermediate Public examination timetable for the academic year 2018-19. HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao announced the timetable at Circuit house here on Wednesday.

Intermediate’s Golden Jubilee celebrations will be held on December 3. CCTV cameras will be installed at exam centres State-wide and the invigilators will also be jumbled so that no one can take advantage, he said.

Addressing the media on the occasion, the HRD Minister said that this year 10.6 lakh students will appear for the exams as against 10.2 lakh last year. Both the first year and second year examinations will be held almost simultaneously in 2,800 centres State-wide.

The practical examinations are scheduled to be held from February 1 to 20, 2019, for general Intermediate courses in jumbling system. Like last year, ethics and human values examination will be conducted online again this year on January 28, 2019 from 10 am to 1 pm. The environmental education examination is scheduled to be conducted on January 30 from 10 am to 1 pm.

All theory exams will be held from 9 am to 12 pm for both the years. For first year, 2nd language will be on February 27; English on March 1; Mathematics -A, Botany, Civics on March 5; Mathematics-B, Zoology, History on March 7; Physics, Economics on March 9; Chemistry, Commerce, Sociology, Fine Arts, Music on March 12; Geology, Public Administration, Logic, Bridge course (for BPC student) on March 14; and Modern Language on March 16.

For second year, 2nd language will be on February 28; English on March 2; Mathematics-A, Botany, Civics on March 6; Mathematics-B, Zoology, History on March 8; Physics, Economics on March 11; Chemistry, Commerce, Sociology, Fine Arts, Music on March 13; Geology, Public Administration, Logic, Bridge course (for BPC student) on March 15; and Modern Language on March 18.

To avoid confusion over dates and also to avoid leakages, the exams will be conducted simultaneously in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the Minister added.
