Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy visited Indian Naval Ship Ranvir at Visakhapatnam here on Wednesday

Visakhapatnam: Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy visited Indian Naval Ship Ranvir at Visakhapatnam here on Wednesday. He was accompanied by Andhra University College of Engineering Principal Prof P S Avadhani and was received onboard by Vice Admiral Karambir Singh P V S M, AVSM, Flag Officer Commanding in Chief, ENC and Captain Swapn Shri Gupta, Commanding Officer INS Ranvir.

The Governor is on a two-day visit to Visakhapatnam for interaction with faculty and students of Andhra University on "Capacity Enhancement of Indian Universities Towards Defence Research." He showed keen interest in affairs maritime and was presented a copy of Indian Naval Publication Maritime Heritage of India. The visiting dignitaries were given an overview about the rich history and operational capability of the frontline destroyer of the Eastern Fleet.
