Advanced traffic bikes launched
City Police Commissioner Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao on Tuesday launched five new motorcycles with advanced features
Vijayawada: City Police Commissioner Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao on Tuesday launched five new motorcycles with advanced features.
The new motorcycles were launched as a pilot project to regulate the traffic, to overcome traffic problems and to control accidents in the city.
The Suzuki Motor Cycles of India Private Limited has gifted the vehicles to the Vijayawada Police.
The new advanced vehicles are equipped with public addressing system, a mic, a siren, emergency light, control room box, power bank, charging and various other facilities.
These vehicles would ply on the city roads and monitor the traffic situations, alert about the traffic situation and clear traffic jams and see that there would be no traffic congestion in the city.
Traffic DCP Y Ravishankar Reddy, Traffic ACPs D Sravan Kumar, Sivaram Reddy and others along with Varun Group ED Vinod Kumar gifted the vehicles at a programme at City Police Commissioner office.
Padmaja Suzuki CEO Anuradha, Area manager Puneet, sales manager Prasad and others were present.
