Civic chiefs demand promotions

Andhra Pradesh Municipal Commissioners Association which met in the Directorate of Municipal Administration office in Guntur city on Wednesday demanded the government to fill vacant municipal commissioners posts by giving promotions to the eligible and urged the government to exempt from ERO, AERO duties because they worked in sanitation and drinking water supply
Guntur: Andhra Pradesh Municipal Commissioners Association which met in the Directorate of Municipal Administration office in Guntur city on Wednesday demanded the government to fill vacant municipal commissioners’ posts by giving promotions to the eligible and urged the government to exempt from ERO, AERO duties because they worked in sanitation and drinking water supply.
The meeting urged the government to curtail deputation of other department officials as municipal commissioners. Later, the meeting elected M S S Soma Raju as general secretary, Ch Naga Nara simha Rao as a treasurer, B Bala Swamy as vice-president, T V Kalyana Kumari and T V Ranga Rao as organising secretaries.
