Local students excel in karate competition
Two students of Champions Club Karate Academy here won gold and bronze medals in Silver Jubilee National Invitation Karate Championship organised by Okinawa Martial Art Academy at Visakhapatnam on November 25 and 26
Bhimavaram: Two students of Champions Club Karate Academy here won gold and bronze medals in Silver Jubilee National Invitation Karate Championship organised by Okinawa Martial Art Academy at Visakhapatnam on November 25 and 26.
While K Suresh Babu secured gold medal, D Prem Kumar bagged bronze medal, according to Syed Subhan, organiser of the Champions Club. He said the duo had earlier participated in many international, national and state level karate championships and won several medals.
Apart from the duo, a few more students from the academy have been selected for national-level karate championship to be held in Odisha on December 15 and 16.
The duo was congratulated by many prominent personalities for their victory, the coach added.
