Eluru: West Godavari Superintendent of Police Ravi Prakash has said though there are hundreds of professions in world only police job provides the satisfaction of serving people by mingling with them.
He felicitated six staff members of the district police who retired from service during September, October and November here on Friday
Speaking on the occasion, the SP said that police post offers more job satisfaction compared with other jobs. It gives an opportunity to develop friendly bond with people. It was the police job wherein there was scope to work round-the-clock without weekly off, he said.
He asked the retired staff to be happy and in same state of mind when they joined duties 30 years ago. Retirement was a necessity for every police and they should not feel depressed.
“The police department would always open doors for you. We extend all necessary help to all the retired police persons whenever they approach us,” he added.
SIs K Prasada Rao, G Prabhuvaram, AR SI M Samuel, AR HC B Satyanarayana, PC M Appa Rao were among the retired who were felicitated on the occasion.
