Vijayawada: As many as 87 lecturers from across the state working in private aided colleges since 1993 will go on hunger strike from December 11, if their demands are not fulfilled.

In this regard they organised a press meet here on Friday. Addressing the media, the organising general secretary BV Ramesh said that recently the government had issued an order in GO No 142 to extend the minimum pay in PRC 2015 as per the Supreme Court judgment in civil appeal No 213 to the part-time employees who were appointed before 1993.

In this regard he demanded that the government extend the same benefits as allowed to part-time lecturers in Government sector and pay as per PRC 2015 to part time lecturers of private aided colleges.
