Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Corporation deputy commissioner T Rajagopala Rao has advised the vegetable vendors in central vegetable market to maintain cleanliness in the market and asked them not to use plastic carry bags as plastic was banned in the city.

He along with officials inspected the central vegetable market, KVR Swamy road and Kanchumarthivari street and inspected Sulabh complex on Sunday.

Later, he asked the people about the maintenance of toilets and directed the complex organizers to maintain them properly.

He directed the officials to replace the slabs on the drainage in central vegetable market as many pedestrians were facing problems with them as they were in damaged condition.

He also asked the contractor to maintain quality in the works or face stern action. Revenue inspector K Chinna Babu and others accompanied the deputy commissioner.
