Vijayawada: A two-day ‘Aakruti Vastra’, an exhibition and sale of crafts and textiles, was inaugurated by Nannapaneni Rajakumari, chairperson of AP state Women’s Commission at SS Convention here on Monday.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Rajakumari said that bringing artisans from all over the country was one thing and making the same space available for our local weavers and artisans too was a laudable thing done by the crafts council.
She appreciated the craft council members for organising the expo, which has a variety of products on display.
B Sujatha, executive member, Crafts Council of Andhra said that about 40 stalls were set up and craftsmen from across the country were participating in the expo.
