Five people including an ex-army man were arrested on Sunday for gangraping a girl in Giddalur of Prakasam district.
The ex-army man Koyilakuntla Surendra (24) befriended the girl who is pursuing intermediate and invited her to his birthday party. He then spiked her drink and assaulted her sexually. Surendra also encouraged his friends to rape the girl who was in an unconscious state.
Based on the complaint registered by the girl's parents, the police caught hold of accused on Sunday. The police registered a case under POCSO act.
