Guntur: SRM University, Amaravati and University of Texas, Arlington (USA) held a joint meeting to have collaboration in the field of ‘Genomics and proteomics’, for the establishment of ‘Centre for Additive Manufacturing’ and ‘Smart Cities’.

President of University of Texas, Arlington (USA) Prof Vistasp Karbhari visited SRM University on Monday and made an elaborate power point presentation on academic and research activities of his University to the faculty members of SRM University.

SRM University Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof D Narayana Rao put forward the above three proposals in addition to the mutual exchange of students between the two universities.

Prof Rao also put forward a proposal to have mutual collaboration on research activities.

Prof Karbhari in his power point presentation said that the researches should be useful to society by providing solutions in the fields of health, transport, construction of metro cities and environment.

SRM University faculty members took part in this programme.
