Rajamahendravaram: Minister for Labour and Employment Pitani Satyanarayana distributed accident insurance policy cards to the journalists at a meeting held at Press Club here on Monday.
Under the scheme, National Insurance Company will pay an amount of Rs 10 lakh to the respective person, if met with an accident.
The state government paid its share of amount to National Insurance Company for the benefit of journalists, he added.
