TDP in Krishna district on 9 Lakh membership drive

Vijayawada: The Krishna district unit of Telugu Desam Party has set a target to cross nine lakh party membership in the district alone by December. So far, it has completed nearly four lakh membership drive.

Minister for Water Resources Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao and other leaders has taken the membership drive seriously to reach target.

The minister and party district unit president Bachula Arjunudu directed the rank and file of party to be active membership drive during Krishna district party meeting on Saturday.

Devineni said that nearly 1.71 lakh new members took the membership in the ongoing membership drive. He asked the leaders to speed up membership drive. The appointment of coordinators, booth conveners was completed, he said and added that the training programme would be conducted for them at Ibrahimpatnam from December 10.

He directed the leaders to discuss with the polling booth conveners to complete the membership drive as per the schedule. He also reviewed the membership drive in mandals and villages wise.

MLAs Sriram Rajagopal, Tangirala Soumya, Uppuleti Kalpana, other leaders Tumati Premnath, Koganti Rama Rao, Ganne Venkatanarayana, Bandaru Hanumantha Rao, Kota Veerababu, B Ramesh Naidu, Vasantha Satyanarayana, Komati Sudhakar, Munaiah and Emani Suryanarayana were present.
