Bogus votes in state unfortunate: BJP

   Kakinada: Missing and deletion of valid votes from lists and bribing of voters have become a big menace for our democracy, said BJP state working Committee member Pedireddy Ravi Kiran.

Quoting the incidents in the polls conducted in Telangana  Assembly on December 7,  he said here on Monday that unfortunately this tendency was  growing at  fast pace.

“Missing of lakhs of votes in the just concluded Telangana polls and its acceptance by State Election authorities shows its pathetic state of affairs prevailing there. Even in AP during the end of voter enrollment programme, the State Election Commissioner has accepted inclusion of 50 lakh bogus votes,” he said.

Even after this, proper corrective measures were not taken by concerned department till now, he said.
