Guntur: BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana said that Congress alliance with the TDP helped TS Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to get more seats in the Assembly elections and added that if Congress party contested alone, it would have bagged more seats.

Addressing a press conference in Guntur city on Wednesday, he said that settlers were also opposing TDP in the T-State. He said that though the BJP-led NDA government was cooperating and releasing funds for the development of the State, Chandrababu Naidu was criticizing the Centre for gaining political mileage.

He alleged that TDP Ministers, MLAs and party leaders were involved in the illegal quarrying and they were looting the State. He warned that voters will teach a lesson to the TDP in the coming general elections.

Referring to the Intintiki BJP programme, he said so far they distributed 9 lakh pamphlets to people and were conducting campaign on the welfare schemes introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and development works taken up by the Centre.

He urged the people to support BJP in the coming elections. BJP Guntur city president Ammisetty Anjaneyulu, BJP State leader Jupudi Ranga Raju and film actress Madhavi Latha were present.
