Chandrababu Naidu bats for stress-free education

Visakhapatnam: The revolutionary concept of learning through gaming will be introduced in the State, said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu after laying foundation stone for a slew of projects and developmental works to be taken up in the city with an estimated cost of Rs 4,500 crore during ‘Aatmiya Sabha’ held at Tagarapuvalsa here on Thursday in Visakhapatnam district.

At first, Naidu laid foundation stone for the construction of I-Hub to be set up in 50 acres of land in Tagarapuvalasa. The I-Hub will help in developing the digital learning skills, school of excellence and to provide education through gaming. The VUDA park in the city will be developed with Rs 33.5 crore under the Smart City development project.

The Chief Minister also laid stone for 35,889 housing units built up under PMAY-NTR Housing Scheme and APTIDCO with an estimated cost of Rs 2,223 crore. Another floating solar power plant would be constructed on Megadrigedda with an estimated expenditure of Rs 14.50 crore.

This project will produce 3 mws of power for the domestic usage. Naidu also laid foundation stone at the venue for another development project under Bheemili Constituency with an expenditure of Rs 41.59 crore and for a waste water treatment plant. This project will be developed with Rs 362 crore under Pendurthi constituency and it will provide 46 MLD clean water to industrial needs.

Addressing the gathering at Aatmiya Sabha, Naidu said that he would introduce many revolutionary concepts in education system through virtual classrooms and provide stress-free education to students. Under the system which costs Rs 376 crore, the State government will work along with the UNESCO. 

As the coastal area was suitable place for development of IT, tourism and education, the beach road from RK Beach  to Bheemili will be developed under smart city project, he said.

Naidu said the government would establish a 100-bedded hospital at Tagarapuvalasa and construct a RTC Complex. Stating that function halls would be constructed at Bheemili, he said the development works from Vizag to Bhogapuram would be carried out and Chirla Cheruvu would be developed on the lines of Tank Bund in Hyderabad. He also promised to resolve jute mill workers issue in the coming days.
