Cyclone Phethai lay centered at about 529 kilometers distance from Sriharikota according to information released by the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS).
It is expected to cross the coast between East Godavari and Visakhapatnam. It is expected to touch the coast on December 17th evening.
The RTGS officials are closely watching the movements of the cyclone Phethai. The people residing in the sea prone mandals facing cyclone threat may contact 1100 for assistance.
Moderate rains are expecting from tonight in East Godavari,West Godavari, Krishnam Guntur,Prakasam and Nellore districts.
