Chittoor: Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy claims that Chittoor district stands top in the State in achieving 100 per cent CC roads in villages. He further said that as per the instructions of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, it has been decided to construct 6- lane road between Chittoor to Mallavaram with an outlay of Rs.1,760 cr. covering 61 km distance.

The Minister has attended various programmes in V.Kota and Palamaner Mandals on Sunday along with the senior officials and TDP functionaries. He inaugurated an Anganwadi Centre Building in P Kuppam village where he interacted with the beneficiaries of various schemes for women.

Amaranatha Reddy inaugurated 1.60 km long Kongatakam – Padigalakuppam CC road on Sunday. He explained the achievements of TDP Government in several fronts. ``In an historical way, stage has been set to provide HNSS water to the western part of the district by spending over Rs.1,700 cr through Kuppam branch HNSS canal facilitating both drinking and irrigated water. All the tanks will be filled up with HNSS water in the first phase covering Thamballapalli, Madanapalli, Punganur , Palamaner and Kuppam mandals,’’ he said.

The minister further said that a master plan has envisaged to provide drinking water in all the 66 mandals of the district with a whooping budget of Rs.3,000 cr and drinking water problem in the district would be resolved permanently. He recalled that CM Naidu is very much particular to develop the district as model one .

Under farmers’ debt relief scheme, all the eligible farmers in the district were covered and over Rs.1015 cr was spent for this. It has been decided to construct permanent buildings to all the Anganwadi centres . In the ensuing Rabi season , instructions were given to all the banks to reschedule crop loans in the jurisdiction of 63 drought hit mandals in the district, the Minister added.

Earlier, the minister attended at Gramadarsini programme at Kongatakam village. TDP functionaries of Palamaner constituency Subhash Chandra Bose, Hemalatha and others were present .
