Vijayawada: To eradicate polio, Rotary Club of Mid-Town has been organising various awareness programmes, said Club president Chinnam Madhubabu here on Tuesday.

As part of the awareness programme the club is organising a three-day, Rota Fair 2019 starting from January 4, 2019, In this regard a poster was released.

Addressing the gathering, Madhubabu said that a three-day Rota Fair exhibition on polio eradication would be organised at A + Convention centre.

Club secretary Sunil said that though India has overcome polio, there is a threat that it would spread from neighboring countries like Pakistan and Afghanistan which are still under the grip of polio.

He said that the club was organising various programmes on creating awareness on polio and as part of the awareness programme they were organising a three-day Rota Fair.

He said that about 120 stalls would be set up in the expo and the fund collected by it would be spent for the cause, he added.

Club chairman G Sinivas said that competitions would be held for students, workshop for entrepreneurs, traditional fashion show will be organised, he added. He appealed to all to visit the expo.

Fair chairman K Venkateswara Rao, club members D Nani, Ch Prakash, Amith, Rammohan Reddy and others were present.
