President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday issued notification for the long pending bifurcation of High court between the two states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana announcing January one as appointed day for the AP high court which will start functioning from AP capital Amaravati.

As per the AP Reorganisation act 2014, the high court in the combined Andhra Pradeshwill have to be divided between the two states. AP government already started the construction of Justice city in Amaravati. Due to delay , the AP High court has been functioning from the Telangana high court in Hyderabad.

The bifurcation of judges and other judiciary staff were already to final stages . All the alloted staff and judges will be shifted to the new AP high court once the construction of Court buildings are completed.
