Dipali Raut opens Silk India Expo–2018

Vijayawada: Former Miss South India and upcoming Tollywood Actress, Dipali Raut was in the city to Inaugurate ‘Silk India Expo 2018’ at Vedika Kalyana Mandapam, Benz Circle on Tuesday.

The six-day exposition, was organised by Hastashilpi, Artisans and weavers welfare Association from Mysore.

Speaking on the occasion, she said that she was glad to see a variety of apparel, particularly silk sarees, silk designer ware products showcased under one roof.

Expo organiser Abhinand said that various Silk Saree Weavers, Handloom Clusters and Silk Cooperative Societies from 21 States showcasing their products, and the intention behind the organising the expo was to make vendors and their products accessible directly to the customers, without any mediators.

Mysore Silk Sarees, Crepe and Georgette Silk Sarees, Chiffon Silk Sarees, Tassar silk sarees and suit, Kanchipuram Silk Sarees and Wedding Sarees, Designer fancy Sarees, Darmavaram Silk Sarees, Raw Silk and Tassar, Jute Silk Sarees, Dhaka Silk Sarees, Handloom Silk Cotton Sarees, Silk Blends Sarees, Silk Shawls, Silk Blends Fabrics/ Furnishing, Uppada, Gadwal Silk Sarees and many more products were available till December 30, 2018.
