Eluru: Jogi Venkata Riteesh, an engineering student who hails from Chintalakoti Garuvu village, has designed an app and finger sensors for safety of cars.

He exhibited the same at United Nations World Geospatial Information Congress held in China from December 19 to 22.

While the devise app alerts car owner if anyone other than members approved tries to open the car door, it also alerts near-by hospital, police station and relatives in the event of an accident.

The finger sensors are arranged at car door and ignition. The door opens with one finger touch and car starts with two touches of the ignition key.

The FAD was fitted at the engine of the car. A reputed company agreed to distribute the accessories, Riteesh informed.
