APAA elects office-bearers for 2019-22 in Vijayawada
The Andhra Pradesh Athletic Association APAA elected officebearers for period 2019 2022 at the annual general body meeting held here on Sunday
Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Athletic Association (APAA) elected office-bearers for period 2019-2022 at the annual general body meeting held here on Sunday.
APAA members elected K Venkateswara Rao as president and A Hyma as general secretary.
Speaking to media, secretary Hyma said as a former athlete, she would strive hard to promote athletics in all the districts by organising events at regular intervals by taking the guidance of the seniors and coaches in administering the association efficiently.
Officer-on-Special Duty P Ramakrishna acted as an observer from Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh and Stanley from Telangana Athletic Association acted as Athletic Federation India's observer.
The office-bearers are: vice presidents Y Hari Babu, GVS Prasad, TVS Ranga Rao, IDV Prasad, joint secretaries N Vijay Kumar, G Sasikanth, Y Ahmar Basha, A Vijay Kumar and treasurer A Satyanarayana.
