Kakinada: The CPM East Godavari unit organised a dharna at Collectorate here on Sunday, protesting against attack on the party Tripura state unit secretary Gautam Das.
Addressing the dharna, the party city unit secretary, Ch Ajay Kumar alleged that right from the day of BJP came to power the goons of the party and RSS activists had been attacking CPM leaders and cadre.
The CPM leader also said that former finance minister of Tripura Babulal Shaun was also attacked by BJP activists two days ago.
Ajay Kumar demanded that the government arrest those responsible for attacks immediately. The party leaders and activists participated in large numbers.
