Kadapa: Porumamilla police arrested two men on the charges of murdering a 25-year-old man for resisting their sexual advances. The accused were identified as K Baskar of Kondapet village of Kasinayina mandal, M Obaiah of Pulliveedu village of Porumamilla mandal.
According to the Porumamilla SI S Venkata Ramana, the two accused approached one O Thomas of Chennareddypalli village of Kalasapadu mandal and invited him for drinks on December 26. Three of them went to Pendlimarri village and consumed liquor.
Later, the Bhaskar and Obaiah tried to force themselves on Thamus. However, he resisted their attempts which resulted in heated exchanges between him and the two. Then the duo killed Thomas by smashing his head with a stone and threw his body at Chennareddypallipalli village.
Some passers-by, who noticed the body of Thomas on December 27, informed the police. Police who registered a case of suspicious death, later got a lead about the crime following a tip-off rom a dumb and deaf person of Pendlimarri village and arrested the accused persons on Monday.
