5 lakh insurance cover for RTC CCS members
About 532 lakh APSRTC employees who are the members of APSRTC Employees Thrift and Credit Cooperative Society limited CCS will be benefited with Rs 5 lakh of accidental insurance facility which came into force from January 1, 2019, said CCS secretary T Trasu here on Tuesday
Vijayawada: About 5.32 lakh APSRTC employees who are the members of APSRTC Employees Thrift and Credit Cooperative Society limited (CCS) will be benefited with Rs 5 lakh of accidental insurance facility which came into force from January 1, 2019, said CCS secretary T Trasu here on Tuesday.
He said that validity of the scheme will be for a time period of one year.
He said that the committee has taken the decision in September 2018 at the annual meeting to pay the family members of the deceased a sum of Rs 5 lakh accidental insurance and the facility to be extend to all the society members.
Relating to this, the CCS has signed an understanding with DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance Company Ltd.
He further stated that the CCS handed over a cheque of Rs 8.5 crore towards premium of Rs 1,641 per each member of the society to the insurance company through APSRTC vice-chairman and MD NV Surendra Babu.
The board members were also present on the occasion.
