Vijayawada: K Yuva Raju has been selected for Khelo India Aquatics Nationals 2019. He would represent Andhra Pradesh Aquatics team, said PB Siddhartha College of Arts and Science principal Dr M Ramesh on Thursday.
The principal said that Yuva Raju represented Andhra Pradesh Aquatic team at the 31st South Zone Aquatic Championship held at Sri Vizzy Swimming Pool, Vijayawada recently and secured one silver medal in 4 x 100 meters medley and one Bronze medal in 200 meters free style.
Yuva Raju has been selected for Khelo India Aquatics Nationals and will represent the state in both 100 and 200 back stroke events in Under 21 category.
He said that Khelo India Aquatics Nationals 2019 will be held at Pune from January 10 to 15.
The college convener PLN Prasad, Dean Rajesh C Jampala, director V Babu Rao, HoD Physical Education Dr N Srinivas Rao extended best wishes to Yuva Raju.
