Viswa Shanti Mahayagnam today in Vijayawada
The Hanuman Chalisa Parayana Viswa Shanti Mahayagnam would be performed by Sri Sri Sri Ganapati Sachitananda Swamiji at Padmavati Ghat on the bank of River Krishna on January 5, said HV Prasad, Avaduth Datta Peetham trustee here on Friday
Vijayawada: The Hanuman Chalisa Parayana Viswa Shanti Mahayagnam would be performed by Sri Sri Sri Ganapati Sachitananda Swamiji at Padmavati Ghat on the bank of River Krishna on January 5, said HV Prasad, Avaduth Datta Peetham trustee here on Friday.
Addressing the media at Padmavati Ghat, Prasad said the chief guest of the programme will be Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and the honorary chief guest of the programme will be Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Anilchandra Punith.
He said that about one lakh devotees from various places would participate in the Hanuman Chalisa Parayana Viswa Shanti Mahayagnam which will begin from 5 pm to 9 pm at the Ghat.
Organising committee member Chandra Mohan said that elaborate arrangements were made for hassle-free Mahayagnam. The seating arrangements for the devotees were done on one-km-long ghat which has about 30 steps.
Hanumana Raksha and Anna Prasadam will be provided to all the devotees on the occasion.
He said that the Mahayagam would be performed for world peace and for the development of the state and for the upcoming world capital Amaravati.
