Deputy Transport Commissioner DTC E Meera Prasad said that by donating blood one can save a person who is in need and by donating organs a few needy patients will get a new ease of life
Vijayawada: Deputy Transport Commissioner (DTC) E Meera Prasad said that by donating blood one can save a person who is in need and by donating organs a few needy patients will get a new ease of life.
The DTC was felicitated at a programme organised at the DTC office here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Indian Red Cross Society had selected 27 people for rendering best service from the district and he was one among them and expressed his happiness for receiving a gold medal from Governor ESL Narsimhanan at Visakhapatnam.
He said that after receiving the medal his responsibility to serve had doubled and said that donating blood to the needy was the best service. He appealed to all to donate blood at blood donating camps organised by Indian Red Cross Society.
RDO S Venkateswara Rao, DSS Muthy, T Rammohan Rao, employees union leaders and others were present.
