Yerragondapalem: A sleeper coach tourist bus of Rangoli Travels in Maharashtra lost control on the Srisailam ghat road and about to plunge into the valley on Sunday morning.
Narrow escape for 42 pilgrims
It came to a halt with rear tyres hooked on to the railing. All passengers and drivers escaped with minor injuries. The police suspect inexperience of the driver was the reason for the accident.
By the time they reach Deyyala Malupu at Chinnarutla in Dornala mandal on the ghat road, the driver failed to negotiate turning.
The bus jumped into the valley, but its rear tyres hooked on to the barricade, saving all in the bus.
The police made alternate arrangements to shift the pilgrims to Srisailam first and registered an accident case.
