Amaravati: In view of the fast-changing political developments in the state, Chief Minister N Chandrababu has decided to cancel his visit to Davos. He was to participate in the World Economic Forum meet scheduled to begin from January 20 to 26.

This decision was taken on Thursday after a video conference with party leaders where a thorough discussion on the meeting between YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and TRS working president KTR and the likely political fallout took place.

It is learnt that senior ministers felt that his presence in the state at this point of time was necessary. Secondly, if he decides to go it would be too hectic a schedule as he will have to rush back to attend the Republic Day celebrations as well. Hence, Naidu decided to drop the proposal to go to Davos and instead has asked IT Minister N Lokesh to attend the meeting.

Following this development, the state cabinet is now likely to meet on January 21. Naidu will also be attending the meeting being organised by TMC chief Mamata Banerjee on January 19. The government is contemplating holding the budget session of the state during first week of February.

During the teleconference, Naidu came down heavily on YSRCP. He said three leaders with evil mind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy have joined hands under the guise of Federal Front to cause damage to the Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh and to split anti-BJP votes.

It is an open secret that all these leaders have been working against the development of the state ever since it was bifurcated. Since the day, TDP decided to quit NDA, all these three leaders started hatching a political conspiracy against the people of the state.

None of them could digest the fast-paced developments of the state despite arm-twisting tactics adopted by the Centre and non-release of funds and non-cooperation by the major opposition in the state. Modi is an intolerant person and he does not like that Andhra Pradesh was progressing better and faster than Gujarat.

KCR feels that if Andhra develops his inefficiency would stand exposed. He has been talking big, but the records show that in all fields, AP has been progressing faster. The reason Y S Jagan surrendered to Delhi is because of the cases he was facing, Naidu said.

Referring to the federal front, he said there was no sanctity to it and it was more of Modi front with two puppets KCR and Jagan dancing to Modi’s tunes. Referring to Modi, KCR and Jagan, Naidu said that three vultures are tearing away social harmony of people by creating division among people in the name of caste or provoke them in the name of religion. KCR raked up sentiment factor during Telangana elections and now he plans to divide people here on caste basis as advised by BJP.

Chief Minister called upon the party rank and file to intensify the campaign on governments achievements and drive home the point that the government was examining the possibility to introduce pension amount in other sectors. The works on Amaravati city were progressing at a faster pace and if all goes well, a system to supply chilled air to every house like power supply and water supply was also being planned.

The government would be setting up district air-condition centre from where cool air can be supplied on demand. This would do away with the requirement of installing individual air-conditioners.
