Nellore: The police arrested a person, who cheated women in the guise of love through social media such as Facebook and WhatsApp. The accused was identified as T Srinivasulu.
Speaking to the media at Balaji Nagar police station here on Friday, DSP NBM Murali Krishna said that Srinivasulu, who belongs to Ravuru village in Indukurpeta mandal, has cheated four women. “Srinivasulu cheated a woman from Chinna Bazaar in Nellore promising her to marry.
He married another woman from K Samudram village of Warangal district in Telangana state, who was a friend of Chinna Bazaar victim. Srinivasulu started harassing her and she lodged a complaint with K Samudram police station,” the DSP said and revealed that Srinivasulu also maintained a love affair with another woman and made friendship with another woman from Nellore city through Facebook and took Rs 1.2 lakh from her.
Srinivasulu is one of the accused in a dacoity case under Saidapuram police station limits, he added. DSP explained that 4 cases were filed against the accused in various police stations. Balaji Nagar Circle Inspector G Venugopal Reddy and others were present.
