A team consisting of 12 research scholars from Kannada, Telugu, Marathi and Tamil languages visited Cultural Centre of Vijayawada Amaravati on Saturday as part of their tour to regional language environments

Vijayawada: A team consisting of 12 research scholars from Kannada, Telugu, Marathi and Tamil languages visited Cultural Centre of Vijayawada & Amaravati on Saturday as part of their tour to regional language environments.

According to Cultural Centre of Vijayawada & Amaravati (CCVA) CEO Dr E Sivanagi Reddy, the research scholars’ team led by Dr G Prabhakar, head of the Centre for Southern Languages, a wing of Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore, was briefed on the literary and cultural activities of CCVA.

Litterateur Dr Gumma Sambasiva Rao explained the team on the beauty of Telugu poems and literature. The team later visited the exhibition of Sketches of 29 AP CRDA Capital City villages done by Urban Sketches, Singapore.

Dr M Venkateswaralu, faculty of Centre for Southern Languages, also participated in the programme.
