Vijayawada: Expelled BJP leader Ungarala Venkataramana (Chinnababu) alleged that after AP BJP president Kanna Lakshminarayana took charge as the president, the situation of the party in the State has gone from bad to worse because he was acting like a monarch and taking decisions without consulting the others. Addressing media here on Monday, Venkataramana demanded Lakshminarayana as to why he was expelled from the party.

Venkataramana said that he would lodge a complaint with party disciplinary committee regarding his expulsion. He said that his mistake was asking to take disciplinary action against the members who commented against Lakshminarayana after he was appointed as president.

Stating that the party members who supported Kanna were leaving the party, he demanded the party president as to what was he doing when former Chief Minister N Janardhan Reddy's son Ram Kumar, Akula Satyanarayana, Ramakotaiah and others left the BJP.

He alleged that Kanna was working as covert for other parties being a party president. He recalled that after Kanna was appointed as party president, many senior leaders left the party. He said that he was expelled from the party for questioning the corruption in the party. He demanded removal of Kanna from the party failing which all the members would leave the party.
