Somireddy’s kin joins YSRCP
Ramakota Reddy, who is TDP leader and close relative of Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, joined the YSR Congress Party YSRCP at Lotus Pond in Hyderabad on Wednesday in the presence of party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy
Nellore: Ramakota Reddy, who is TDP leader and close relative of Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, joined the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) at Lotus Pond in Hyderabad on Wednesday in the presence of party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
He, along with his sons Kaladhar Reddy and Sasidhar Reddy, officially shifted his loyalties to YSRCP giving a jolt to the ruling party leaders in the district. Ramakota Reddy has been away from active politics for some years and recently local legislator R Pratap Kumar Reddy approached him through RS member V Prabhakar Reddy and convinced to join the opposition.
Ramakota Reddy, who addressed the media at the party office, said that there has been huge corruption by the ruling party leaders which made him to shift his loyalties. He said that people were believing that there would be justice to the poor and need with only Jagan. RS member V Prabhakar Reddy, Kavali MLA R Pratap Kumar Reddy and others were present.
