Vijayawada: The villagers named their colony after the AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's grandson Nara Devansh.

Under the NTR Gruhakalpa scheme, TDP government has constructed a colony for poor in Komaravolu village, Pamarru Mandal in Krishna district.

Though the government has not officially declared this name but the villagers have voluntarily named the colony as Nara Devansh colony.

CMs Wife Nara Bhuvaneshwari has adopted Komaravolu village. Along with Naidu, Bhuvaneshwari visited the village and paid tribute to NTR and Basavatarakam statues.

On this occasion, Naidu appreciated his wife Bhuvaneshwari for adopting this village and assured to develop Komaravolu village in all aspects.

Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the NTR Gruhakalpa houses, and as a token of thanksgiving, villagers gave a return gift to CM by naming their colony as Nara Devansh colony.

CM along with his wife started Panchayat office building with Rs 25 lakhs and Mahila Sadhikaratha building with 15 lakhs.

Earlier Nara Devansh was in the news for being richer than his grandfather Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Naidu's son IT Minister Nara Lokesh disclosed the family's asset details were Naidu is worth Rs 2.99 crore and Devansh has assets worth Rs 18.71 crore.
