Amaravati: The state government is set to inaugurate four lakh houses from February 2 to 4 as part of its policy to provide housing for all, according to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
The government has also started resolving the issue of dotted lands. Replying to a question on the issue, Guntur district Collector Kona Sasidhar said that 28,000 applications regarding dotted lands were solved and 10,000 house sites will be distributed soon.
Appreciating the work done by the Collectors through a video conference from the Secretariat, Naidu said incentives would be given to those officials who worked hard to achieve good satisfaction level of people.
The zero budget natural farming being adopted by Andhra Pradesh received acclaim from all over the world, he said. Calling upon the collectors to resolve the grievances of people received during the recent Janmabhoomi programme to increase satisfaction levels of people, the CM said knowledge and technology should be used perfectly to improve living standards.
The officials informed Naidu that of the 55,540 applications received for ration cards during Janmabhoomi programme 40,040 applications were cleared and 8,476 applications are under scrutiny.
The officials said 10,033 new ration cards were distributed in addition to 5,196 split ration cards and 24,811 cards will be distributed soon. Expressing happiness over success of Jayaho BC Sadassu at Rajamahendravaram on Sunday, the Chief Minister said ten corporations will be set up for BC castes to establish identity to the particular castes and instil confidence among them.
With this the number of corporations will increase to 22. Taking poverty as criteria a focus approach would be adopted for economic uplift of people of all sections. A BC sub-plan would be implemented. The decisions of the state government will be placed before the cabinet and if necessary, before the Assembly elections slated to begin from January 30, he said.
The Chief Minister said at the same time the interests of poor people in forward castes would also be protected. He stressed the need for reviving hereditary professions (chetivruttulu). There was good response from people over increasing pensions and announcing several sops to BCs, he said. The Chief Minister said officials should take initiative to fulfil the targets in Yuvanestam, employment generation, drinking water supply and housing projects. He said the state government would sanction necessary funds through green channel to speed up the programmes.
When IT advisor J Satyanarayana explained on the smartcard developed with QR code under Bhudar programme, the Chief Minister said that all the details of lands should be incorporated in the card. The Chief Minister asked the Ministers to proceed to Delhi to bring pressure on central government for the release of funds under NREGS.
