Plan for summer water supply formulated
District Collector Praveen Kumar has informed Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu that the district administration has formulated summer action plan to avoid drinking water problem in the days to come
Eluru: District Collector Praveen Kumar has informed Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu that the district administration has formulated summer action plan to avoid drinking water problem in the days to come.
He was responding to queries of chief minister during videoconference conducted with Collectors from Secretariat at Amaravati.
The chief minister said that no problem with drinking water should arise in the state during summer and there was no dearth of funds for this purpose.
He asked the Collectors to review water supply everyday. He made it clear that the Collectors would be made responsible for any failure in this regard.
Funds would be made available in green channel for drinking water supply purpose. They should also concentrate on water needs for cattle, he added.
The Collector also informed the CM that solid waste management sheds in delta area need to be completed and they would focus on their early completion.
They were also pursuing representations received at Janmabhoomi programme.
