Eluru: District Superintendent of Police M Ravi Prakash has informed that the physical fitness test for sub-inspector posts scheduled for Monday has been postponed owing to rain.
Speaking at the weekly grievance cell at police headquarters here on Monday, he informed the candidates appearing for SI test to attend the same fitness test during January 30, 31 and February 1.
The candidates can attend the test any day at the police parade grounds here, he said.
Meanwhile, he received complaints from people on different issues. A person from Bhimavaram complained to the SP that he was cheated by a person who promised job to his children.
The offender approached the complainant and collected money to help his children in appointing as assistants at a government doctor in Guntur.
A person from Narsapuram complained that his daughter was killed by her in-laws seeking additional dowry.
He said he had already paid Rs 2 lakh in dowry to his daughter but failed to save her from the clutches of death.
