Guntur: Yesteryears film star Krishna’s younger brother Ghattamaneni Adiseshagiri Rao said he would join TDP on February 7 in Vijayawada and thanked the TDP leaders for inviting him into the party.

MLA Alapati Rajendra Prasad, MLC Buddha Venkanna and APSRTC chairman Varla Ramaiah met Adiseshagiri Rao at his house in Burripalem in the district on Sunday and invited him into the party and he agreed to join.

Speaking on the occasion, Adiseshagiri Rao appreciated Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for speeding up the works of Polavarm project and reminded that he was saving crops by supplying Pattiseema lift scheme water in time.

Adisehskagiri Rao announced that he would contest in elections wherever he was directed to by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and promised his support to Tenali MLA Alapati Rajendra Prasad.

He lauded Naidu for hiking social security pensions from Rs 1,000 per month to Rs 2,000. Buddha Venkanna and Varla Ramaiah said Adiseshagiri Rao services were needed to the party, hence they invited him into the TDP.
