Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi as to how he could visit the State and face the people.
Reacting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s AP’s tour during a teleconference with legislators and party leaders here on Sunday, he said that Modi was neglecting the non-BJP ruled States.
Naidu alleged that Modi was disturbing communal harmony in the country by provoking the people of various religions. He said the Prime Minister created hurdles to development in States like West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.
He alleged that Narendra Modi did not give funds to non-BJP ruled States intentionally. The attitude of the Centre finally hit the welfare schemes, he said and added that the people of various States were staging protests against Modi during his tours.
The people would teach a fitting lesson to the BJP and YSR Congress for their selfish politics, Naidu said. The Chief Minister also called upon the TDP activists and leaders to counter false publicity of the YSR Congress against the pension scheme.
The people gave majority to the TDP with faith on his leadership, he said. Chandrababu Naidu pointed out that the farmers gave Rs 50,000 crore worth lands to Amaravati capital city with confidence.
Naidu said that the aged consider him as their elder son as he had ensured social security by enhancing pensions. He said that the DWCRA women could draw their cheques from Monday onwards. The government has already deposited Rs 2,400 crore in this regard, he said.
