Visakhapatnam : The Vizag Rural police on Monday seized three sand laden vehicles near Tamaram village under Devarapalli Mandal in Vizag district. Acting on tip-off that trucks of sand have been transporting sand illegally from Sarada River, the police carried out a vehicular-check up and seized the sand laden vehicles. The police said that sand mafia has been illegally loading huge sand from the River and causing depletion of ground water at the areas.
