Election Info Centre opens tomorrow in Bapatla
An Election Information Centre will be opened on February 7 near Tahsildars office in Bapatla which will be inaugurated by former Election Commissioner of India Dr GVG Krishna Murthy
Guntur: An Election Information Centre will be opened on February 7 near Tahsildar's office in Bapatla which will be inaugurated by former Election Commissioner of India Dr GVG Krishna Murthy.
The centre makes the voters lists available to all the citizens and encourages non-voters to apply for voting right.
The voters will also be informed about the name of their polling booth and its number. Various forms like Form-6, Form-7 and Form-8 will be kept available at the centre for free distribution among public.
The centre works between 10.30 AM to 12 noon on all government working days. Retired lecturer of Arts College GV Subrahmanyam will act as centre's in-charge, according to the secretary of Forum For Better Bapatla P C Sai Babu.
This is the first of its kind centre to be opened in the district, he added.
