Guntur: TDP activists led by former MLC Dr Rayapati Srinivas registered their protest against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the State.
Some of the TDP leaders wore black shirts and some others wore black badges and raised slogans against Modi and registered their protest.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Rayapati Srinivas criticized that BJP government rejected the SCS demand and hurt the sentiments of the people of Andhra Pradesh and expressed serious concern over not granting a separate railway zone to Andhra Pradesh in Visakhapatnam
He said that Modi had no right to visit the Andhra Pradesh.
The agitators raised slogans against Modi.
Later, they broke the empty pots at the Shankara Vilas Centre.
The TDP leaders squatted on the road and protested.
In, Sattenapalli town, TDP leaders took out a motorbike rally and to protest against Narendra Modi's visit and raised slogans against him. Sattenapalli Municipal Chairman Y Rama Swamy, TDP leaders Mohan Naik and Srinivas and others were present.
Meanwhile, Telugu Yuvatha leaders organised a protest with empty pots in Guntur city on Sunday. Holding placards at Gardens Centre, they raised slogans against Modi.
They said Modi cheated the people of Andhra Pradesh and has no right to visit the state and warned that the voters would teach a lesson to the BJP in the coming elections. They registered their protest by breaking empty pots.
Telugu Yuvatha leaders leaders M Jagan Mohan Rao, Panakala Venkata Mahalakshmi, Mannava Venkateswara Rao, Talluri Sarat, Bharat, Sudheer were among those present.
