Nellore: Political scene changed to Amaravati where the party has to decide future of three dissident leaders of the ruling party. It may be recalled that Nellore mayor Abdul Aziz, Kovur aspirant Pellakuru Srinivasulu Reddy and Anam Jayakumar Reddy, who expected ticket for Nellore rural constituency, have expressed their dissatisfaction over decision of the party.

Party district president B Ravichandra spoke to Srinivasulu Reddy and Jayakumar Reddy assuring them that they would discuss with the Chief Minister and take a decision and asked them to be patient until then.

Sources in the TDP said ruling party leaders expressed anger over the city mayor for his dissent particularly in connection with the visit of the Chief Minister and warned him not to continue such practices. There was dispute between party district president Ravichandra and Aziz for some time on the issue.

Further, Ravichandra spoke to Pellakuru Srinivasulu Reddy in Nellore and tried to pacify him. He simply said there was an agreement during last elections that he would be given ticket during this election. But, Ravichandra reportedly said that there was no such pact of honouring the previous assurance. Hence, I would make my own arrangements for contesting from Kovur, Pellakuru informed party district chief.

Further, he is getting ready vehicles for conducting campaign using party symbol and slogans though there is no clearance from the party. He categorically stated that he would not leave Kovur constituency and would contest from there at any cost.

As the Chief Minister asked him to meet at Amaravati on February 13 and he would take appropriate decision after meeting Naidu. Anam Jayakumar Reddy, who failed to get assurance for Nellore rural ticket, had also expressed dissent with the party district president saying his brother Anam Vivekananda Reddy was also deceived earlier. He said they believed former Minister Adala Prabhakar Reddy and finally he decided to contest from the place.

Chandrababu reportedly decided to meet the district leaders on Wednesday for resolving all issues related to dissidence. Ravichandra and other leaders are in contention that they would present these three leaders before the Chief Minister for any solution which would give breather to the district leadership.
