Podili: The anti-corruption bureau sleuths raided the office and house of Panchayat Raj department deputy executive engineer Pagadala Ravi Prakash, who is working at the project implementation unit at Podili, on Thursday. The searches are going on at four other places of the engineer's relatives and friends said the ACB officials.
The ACB DSP at Ongole RVSN Murthy said that they received reliable information from sources that Ravi Prakash has disproportionate assets and the officials are conducting searches in the house of the engineer at Govind Nagar in Ongole, office at Podili, his sister's house at Markapuram, father-in-law's house at Giddalur, friend's house at Ongole and house of the father-in-law's of his daughter at Podili since morning.
He said that they have found assets of documented value for Rs 1.25 crore, which could be more than Rs 2.50 crore market value. He said that the searches are continuing and they will take the officer into custody after the formal documentation.
