Ongole: The two-day JNTU Kakinada Zone D Intercollegiate Sports Tournament concluded at PACE Institute of Technology and Sciences in Ongole on Wednesday amid cheers and encouragement from the students of various colleges.In the tournament that witnessed participation from 40 engineering colleges from Prakasam and Guntur districts, Prakasam Engineering College won over Tirumala Engineering College in the finals of Kabaddi.
In basketball, Nalanda Engineering College won over Narasarao Pet Engineering College while Chintalapudi Engineering College won over RISE Krishnasai Prakasam Engineering College in badminton. Kallam Haranatha Reddy Engineering College won over JNTU Narasarao Pet in table tennis while Narasarao Pet Engineering College won over AM Reddy Engineering College in volleyball.
In Kho Kho, the Chirala Engineering College won over the Sai Tirumala Engineering College. The JNTU Kakinada observer and secretary Dr GP Raju, principal of PACE Institute of Technology and Sciences Dr M Srinivasan and other deans presented the cups and medals to the winners and runners up. The college management and other staff appreciated the physical directors I Madhusudan and S Giri for successfully organising the sports tournament.
