Provide amenities at polling centres: CS to Collector
Chief Secretary of the state government Anil Chandra Punetha ordered the District Collector Vadarevu Vinay Chand to provide basic amenities at all polling stations He organised a videoconference with all district Collectors in the state to discuss the actions required to take to organise the coming elections flawlessly
Ongole: Chief Secretary of the state government Anil Chandra Punetha ordered the District Collector Vadarevu Vinay Chand to provide basic amenities at all polling stations. He organised a videoconference with all district Collectors in the state to discuss the actions required to take to organise the coming elections flawlessly.
The chief secretary asked the Collectors to order the electricity department to provide power supply to all polling centres. He also asked them to see the toilets and drinking water are available on the premises of the polling stations along with a ramp for the advantage of disabled voters. He advised the officials to see the polling stations are on the ground floor and the concerned departments complete the works as soon as possible.
Joint Collector S Nagalakshmi, Additional Joint Collector D Markandeyulu, district panchayat officer NSSV Prasad, DEO VS Subbarao, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan project officer M Venkateswara Rao, Transco SE Subbaraju, municipal engineers Sundararami Reddy, Rammohan and other officials also participated in the videoconference.
