Kakinada: The leopard which created flutter at Thenelanka village in Mummidivaram mandal of East Godavari on Thursday after disappearing from Atreyapuram in the district a few days ago was finally caught after being administered tranquilisers. The effort of forest department and Vizag Zoo officials proved successful after midnight on Thursday.
The animal was later shifted to Vizag rescue home. According to East Godavari divisional forest officer Nandini Salaria, future course of action would be decided after two to three days of observation of the animal at the rescue home. She said that no external injuries were found on the leopard. Three persons were injured in the attack by leopard near Gadellanka village on Wednesday.
